Pre-Summit Drone Competition Nigeria 2026 Drone Speed & Precision Challenge

Objective

Test each team's drone piloting speed, precision, control, and reaction time completing an intricate flight course. Each team competes as a unit.

Only the designated Pilot operates the controls. The winner is determined solely by the fastest total course completion time.

Team Composition (2-4 Members)

  • Pilot (PIC) — sole control during official runs.
  • Co-Pilot/Tech Crew — assists in setup, inspections, battery swap.
  • Visual Observer — optional, maintains line of sight and logs hazards.

    • *All role allocations must be declared at the time of official registration.

    COMPETITION FORMAT

    3 Challenging Rounds

    1
    Gate Run Fly through consecutive gates in absolute sequence.
    2
    Precision Course Obstacle navigation with controlled turns & height adjustments.
    3
    Final Speed Run Unrestricted speed sprint. Absolute fastest stopwatch time wins.

    Attempts: 2 per round. Best time counts. Both fail = immediate elimination.

    Drone Specifications & Safety

  • Size Limit: Max total frame width of 21-30cm.
  • Safety First: Strictly no flying over spectators. Unsafe maneuvering triggers immediate DQ.

    Registration Details

    Fee: ₦200,000 per team. Strictly limited to 8 Teams on a first-come, first-served basis. Non-refundable.
